Kate's Photo Journey...to be continued

Kate's journey into photography is a story of curiosity, resourcefulness, and dedication. Her interest was sparked during a trip to San Francisco in 2003, where she was teaching Environmental Education at the Alliance Redwoods Conference Grounds. During her stay, she purchased her first camera, a Kodak EasyShare, which marked the beginning of her artistic exploration. At that time, her equipment was basic, and she was still honing her eye for photography without much technical knowledge. Upon returning home, Kate's interest deepened when a friend loaned her a Canon 20D camera while she spent the summer watching two Great Horned Owls grow up. This experience introduced her to the benefits of using better equipment, inspiring her to improve her gear gradually. Recognizing her financial limitations, she turned to online sources and yard sales to acquire older equipment. A significant discovery was that Nikon lenses, which she received as a gift, could fit newer Nikon DSLR bodies. ...
